Peacocks & Guinea Fowl

India Blue Peacock

I have been fascinated with peafowl since I was a child and would watch them endlessly on our
family trips to the zoo. I bought my first pairs when we bought our farm here in SW Wisconsin in 1996. We added the Guinea fowl the same year.
I love having all the different types of birds here. They are beautiful and loads of fun to watch. Especially the Guineas!
The numbers have fluctuated over the years as I expanded the numbers by adding new colors
and types but I finally had to decide which were my favorites and focus only on those.
My birds free range daily under the watchful eyes of our livestock guardian dogs.

I used to raise 7 different colors, but the original Pearl is my favorite and rather then try to run 7 different pens to keep the colors pure, I sold all but my pearls. We currently have 30 breeders.

These birds are the BEST bug-eaters out there! We are seldom bothered by ticks or mosquitoes.
